Through its college partners, the Princess Auto Foundation provides financial assistance to students enrolled in many different trade and technology programs. The foundation has distributed millions of dollars in bursaries to support students at our numerous partner colleges.

The foundation is focused on many different programs, such as welding, aircraft maintenance, motive power, engineering, technology programs, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and metal machining and fabrication, just to name a few.

These donations will be used for supporting trades education through bursaries which will be provided to students enrolled in full-time pre-employment skilled trades and technology programs at colleges across Canada.

Students are encouraged to speak with instructors and their chosen college’s financial aid office for information regarding the Princess Auto Foundation’s qualification details and application forms.

Princess Auto Foundation’s current model supports students enrolled in accredited trades schools only.

Princess Auto, a privately owned Canadian retailer, has enjoyed the support of generations of Canadians who work with their hands, including those in skilled trades and technology. In 2007, the retailer helped to establish the foundation to give back to the trades and secure their future. That first year, it facilitated three scholarships to be handed out at one college. In 2025, it helps almost 500 students at 22 partner colleges.

While there are many worthwhile programs and charities, the Princess Auto Foundation has chosen to focus on skilled trades and technology programs as a way of supporting their future, and to give back to an industry that has long supported the retail company Princess Auto, who started the foundation.

On request, Princess Auto can offer a tax receipt for any donation $10 and higher.
