Founded in 1967, Fanshawe College is a comprehensive college with more than 200 degree, diploma, certificate and apprenticeship programs to 43,000 students each year, helping people unlock their potential and achieve success in a variety of disciplines including applied arts, business, health care, human services, hospitality and technology.

Fanshawe College’s campuses have undergone tremendous change in the last decade, with more than $200 million invested in learning spaces, equipment and technology. Yet our student body has grown even faster. Today our campus is at full capacity. With evermore rapid advances in technology, the need to keep pace and see around the next corner is more critical than ever. Fanshawe is a comprehensive college serving the greater London region by providing flexible learning arrangements and experiential education opportunities developed in response to labour market needs.

One of Ontario’s largest colleges – with four campuses in London, Simcoe, St. Thomas and Woodstock – Fanshawe serves close to half a million people with a promise to educate, engage, empower and excite.

Fanshawe also plays an important role in providing re-skilling and skill upgrading opportunities for mature learners through the design and delivery of custom training for federally and provincially sponsored trainees, community organizations, sectoral training councils and private sector employers in the business, health, industrial and services sectors.

Driving industry forward. One of Fanshawe’s imperatives is the need to work with industry to ensure graduates meet expectations in terms of their knowledge and skills. Faculty members are respected professionals with strong ties to industry. Their goal is to prepare our graduates so thoroughly, they can be ahead of industry.

Skilled technicians, who need to know the basics of everything from seat-belt systems to the latest diagnostic equipment, are in great demand. The management skills gained allow graduates to work in service administration, research and development, management and teaching positions and many graduates own their own businesses.

What makes these programs exhilarating for our students is the amount of hands-on activity that goes above and beyond routine instruction. Fanshawe College is committed to adding a unique learning experience to its highly-rated apprenticeship programs, especially those related to the skilled trades. Since the 1990’s Fanshawe has seen 5,539 skilled trades students graduate.
